We identify remedial actions to correct the specific problems of a project

Views diverge as to whether more process or lighter process is required to correct problems encountered on projects. Little data exist to support either viewpoint. In practice, a more pervasive but less demanding process framework has proved a very successful approach. Remedial actions should be focussed on areas of project weakness and be commensurate with the size and complexity of the project.

By providing an action plan focussed on the specific problems encountered, we can dramatically improve chances of success without unnecessary disruption to the project.
